As a representative for the City of New Orleans on the Regional Planning Commission, I introduced a resolution at yesterday’s meeting creating an RPC Committee to plan for the short term and long term operations of the former Crescent City Connection Division ferries so that all parishes involved can find solutions for a sustainable future for our Chalmette, Algiers and Gretna ferries. You can read the resolution here.
The RPC also prioritized a list of projects to be completed with CCC toll funds, including bridge painting. Click here to see the projects.
Also, Phase II of the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal infrastructure improvements has begun with the selection of Hatch Mott MacDonald, LLC and URS Corporation, Inc. to conduct environmental coordination, design and engineering of the improvements. Further information about them and their subconsultants can be found here.
